A sketching tutorial with Goldfaber Color Pencils

Hi everyone, Mou Saha here with a color sketching tutorial using Goldfaber Color Pencils. I have made a complete materials list for you.

Materials:

Grip 2001 Graphite Pencil - HB - #117011

Kneadable Art Eraser - Grey - #127220

Goldfaber Color Pencils - Tin of 48 - #214748

Mixed Media paper, 9 x 12 inches

Where I live, there is a nature park with a small lake. I sometimes see swans in the lake. They are a delight to watch and sketch. Make a light sketch of swans using Grip 2001 Graphite Pencil - HB on mixed media paper.

Start coloring the water around the swans using various shades of blue Goldfaber Color Pencils. I used #147 as my first layer.

Add more layers using the Goldfaber Color Pencils #149 and 153. Start adding some details to the swans with #273.

Accentuate the sketched details with color pencils #108, 115, 131, 132, 183 and 199. I hope you enjoyed today’s tutorial with Goldfaber Color Pencils. Be sure to notice things to sketch when you are out and about.
