Paper Plate Pumpkin Pie Thanksgiving Craft for Kids
Season’s Eatings… I mean Greetings! But seriously, what’s better than this time of year full of family, food, and food-themed crafts, such as this Paper Plate Pumpkin Pie?!? It’s the perfect activity and decoration for your Thanksgiving feast!
Not only are these pie slices super cute decorations that could be used for a banner, or name place cards, they are a great way to practice those fine motor skills with your little one. With this project, your preschooler will cut, paint, fold, and glue!
Not to mention, crafting is always a good time to connect and talk with your kids. About anything, nothing important, or the meaning of Thanksgiving and what it means to your family.
How To Craft Paper Plate Pumpkin Pie
Here’s what you’ll need:
- Paper plate
- Brown construction paper
- Orange Tempera Paint
- Cotton ball
- Scissors
- Paintbrush
- Glue
Paper Plate Pumpkin Pie Video:
Paper Plate Pumpkin Pie Instructions:
Cut paper plate in to slices.
Paint slice(s) orange. Let dry.
Cut a 1″ strip from brown construction paper.
Accordion fold brown strip.
Glue folded brown construction paper to the edge of the slice to create a crust. Refer to the photo for placement. Trim excess.
Glue cotton ball on an orange section to create whipped topping. Let dry.
