Pitt Artist Pen® Medium - #188 Sanguine - #167388

Pitt Artist Pen® Brush - #177 Walnut Brown - #167477

Pitt Artist Pen® Brush - #180 Raw Umber - #167480

Pitt Artist Pen® Brush - #268 Green Gold - #167468

Mixed Media paper, cut to 9 x 6 inches

 Turtle sketch with Grip graphite pencil

Start with a sketch of a turtle using the Grip pencil.

Turtle outline with Pitt Artist Pen

Trace the outlines with the Pitt Artist Pen Dark Sepia Superfine tip. Gently erase pencil lines.

Add some patterns to the shell. Be realistic or whimsical. I chose to add whimsical patterns.

Add more details to the turtle with Indanthrene Blue Superfine and Sanguine Medium Pitt Artist Pens.

Patterned turtle and Pitt Artist Pens

Start filling in colors with the Pitt Artist Pen Brush tip pens. I used Walnut Brown, Raw Umber and Green Gold. You could choose any combination from the sixty-six colors of Pitt Artist Pens available.
