Acorn Squash Sketch Tutorial with Goldfaber Color Pencils
Hi everyone, Mou Saha here with a tutorial to create a sketch journal entry with a Pitt Artist Pen and Goldfaber Color Pencils to celebrate the fun and quirky day dedicated to the Acorn Squash! I have compiled the materials list for you.
Materials:
Castell® 9000 Graphite Pencil - HB - #119000
Kneadable Art Eraser - Grey - #127220
Pitt Artist Pen® Soft Brush - #199 Black - #800124
Goldfaber Color Pencils - Tin of 48 - #214748
Mixed Media paper
Using the Castell 9000 Graphite HB Pencil lightly sketch two acorn squashes on the 6 x 9 inches mixed media paper.
Start coloring the acorns with Goldfaber Color Pencils. Start with the lighter shades. I am not aiming for photorealism here but for a more playful and quick journal entry.
Add deeper shades of colors to the creases of the acorn squash to give them dimension.
Color till you are satisfied with how your acorn squash look. You can blend the colors in or leave the marks visible.
Journal around the sketch with the soft brush tip black Pitt Artist Pen in a relaxed handwriting to suit the mood of the entry.
I hope you enjoyed today’s sketch journal tutorial with the Pitt Artist pen and Goldfaber Color Pencils and are inspired to record some of the fun and quirky information you may have.
