Spring Flowers Egg Carton Craft
A spring craft for kids using a recycled egg carton!
Spring has (almost) sprung! Here in the Midwest, we have been lucky enough to have a couple of gorgeous warm and sunny days! When the temps went back down, we celebrated by crafting these flowers made from recycled egg cartons.
My 5-year-old has this idea that when we have some free time, we should go outside and pick up trash so that the animals don’t eat it. I love her kind heart. We always try to pick up what we can (within sanitary conditions), but we primarily help our fellow animal friends and our Mother Earth by recycling what we can. We love to make mixed media art from junk mail, and you have no idea how many pirate ships have sailed through my living room thanks to online shopping boxes.
Egg cartons are recyclable depending on where you live but also so much fun to craft with! Not only does this craft help the environment, it will help little fingers learn to cut and paint on an uneven surface, blend colors, and glue! It’s also a great time to sit down and relax on those days full of outdoor madness.
