Grandparents Day Painted Pot Holder
If your family is anything like mine, Grandparents are always there to save the day! Whether near or far, they can always make kids feel extra loved and special – no matter how many grandkids they have. Show them they are appreciated with these super cute custom painted potholders!
My parents are always ready to step in and help with the kids at moments notice, all the while feeding my kids the sugary snack I wasn’t allowed to have as a child. Grandparents Day is the perfect time to spoil them back with a lunch date, extra-long Facetime if they live out of town, and gifts made by their favorite little people.
Not only is this a useful present for Grandma & Grandpa, but a great rainy-day activity that will exercise fine motor skills through painting with fingers and brushes. Also, a good opportunity to sit down and discuss family bonds and relationships, whether it’s through blood, marriage, or friendship.
How to Make Grandparent’s Day Painted Potholders

- Use fingers to make flowers, animals, people, etc.
- Add details using a paint brush. Let dry.
Add extra special finishing touches by customizing with Grandma, Grandpa, Nana, Papa, or a name. Or let the kids practice signing their names on these works of art. Grandma and Grandpa will love seeing those tiny fingerprints every time they cook up something special!
While the kids are already messy, craft a few Fingerprint Magnets to complete the kitchen set. Or get mom and dad involved with Hand Lettered & Painted Rocks.
HAPPY GRANDPARENTS DAY!
