Sketching on-the-go with Albrecht Dürer® Watercolor Markers and Goldfaber™ Aqua Watercolor Pencils
Hi everyone, Mou Saha here with an on-the-go sketch inspiration using Albrecht Dürer Watercolor Markers and Goldfaber Aqua Watercolor Pencils. Recently, I traveled to California for an event. The Ritz-Carlton hotel at Dana Point had staircases leading straight down to the beach. Sometimes early in the morning or later in the afternoon, I climbed the stairs and sat on the sand and sketched things I found on the beach.
Materials:
- Albrecht Dürer® Watercolor Markers - Set of 20
- Goldfaber ™ Aqua Watercolor Pencil - 29 pc Set
- Grip® 2001 Graphite Pencil - HB
- Kneadable Art Eraser - Grey
- Pitt Artist Pen® Extra Superfine - #199 Black
- Collapsible Water cup
- 6 Assorted Triangular Paint Brushes
- Watercolor paper
As I sketched, I took step shots by placing my drawing and the supplies on the little mat I sat on.
I used the Albrecht Dürer Watercolor Markers to lay a first layer of color for my sketched objects. I blended the colors with water brush. I used Goldfaber Aqua Watercolor Pencils to add soft details and color layers.
Add details with a Pitt Artist Pen.
An on-the-go sketch becomes a document when you write down the information from that day. I add location, date and some details about the drawing with XS and SB tip Pitt Artist Pens. This is such a fun way to record your travels seen through the artist’s eyes and also to stay creative on the go!
