Faber-Castell USA Welcomes New CEO Scott Flynn

Cleveland, OH (September 19, 2022) –Faber-Castell USA today announced the appointment of Scott Flynn as Managing Director/CEO, succeeding newly retired Jamie Gallagher.

“The opportunity to lead such a talented and focused team within a globally recognized company that is responsible for bringing memorable creative experiences to the hands of millions around the country and the world is incredibly thrilling,” said Flynn. “I am committed to utilizing my background and experience within the toy and arts & crafts sectors to continue Faber-Castell USA’s success in the years to come.”

Flynn’s accomplished leadership skills and dynamic capabilities stem from a 16-year career at LEGO® and his most recent role as Chief Commercial Officer at PlayMonster®. His vast experience in business, global marketing strategy and operational excellence closely mirror Faber-Castell’s mission of enriching lives through creativity and self-expression.

“This is a very exciting time for Faber-Castell USA,” said Gallagher. “I have known Scott for 35 years and have great respect and admiration for him both personally and professionally. His deep understanding of the arts, crafts & activities space will only serve to enhance the company’s continued growth.”

After 19 years of dedicated and successful service to Faber-Castell USA, leading to the company’s immense expansion within the arts & crafts sector in the US and cementing Faber-Castell’s position as the leading provider of the best quality, creative experiences for children and adults, Gallagher’s retirement is well-deserved.  Prior to Flynn’s appointment as CEO, Gallagher ensured a smooth and seamless transition to prepare him for his new role as Gallagher himself prepared for retirement after nearly two decades with the company.

“Witnessing Jamie’s exemplary leadership and the admiration he’s been shown as a highly esteemed colleague firsthand has only made me that much more motivated to continue the work he began and take Faber-Castell to new heights,” said Flynn.
