Hi everyone, Mou Saha here to share a life drawing tutorial using Polychromos Color Pencils in my series of sketching plants.

Here’s a look at the Goldenrod flowers and some yellow and green Polychromos Color Pencils I picked out.
Using the Earth Green Yellowish 168, I lightly sketched the stems.
Â
I started adding small touches of Olive Green Yellowish 173 and Chromium Green Opaque 174 to create some details and depth in the stems.

To create the blossoms, I used Dark Cadmium Yellow 108 and Cadmium Orange 111 and added more stem details with Earth Green Yellowish 168 and Juniper Green 165.
I used Cobalt Turquoise 153 and Warm Grey V 274 to create the glass bottle the flowers are in.
Â
With black soft brush Pitt Artist Pen, I wrote the name of the flowers.
I jotted down some information about the flowers with black extra-superfine Pitt Artist Pen to finish.
I hope you enjoyed the tutorial and choose the amazing variety of shades of the Faber-Castell Polychromos Color Pencils to draw your own houseplants as well foliage you see around you.
