Celebrating Dr. King with Pitt Artist Pens
Hi everyone, Mou Saha here with a tutorial for creating a quote art celebrating Dr. King using Pitt Artist Pens. I have made a complete materials list for you.
Materials:
Graphite Sketch Pencils - HB - #112500
Kneadable Art Eraser - Grey - #127220
Pitt Artist Pen® Extra Superfine - #199 Black - #567099
Pitt Artist Pen® Big Brush - #199 Black - #167699
Mixed Media Paper
With the graphite pencil, make a light sketch of Dr. King near the bottom left corner of the paper.
Sketch a speech bubble as shown.
Pencil in the quote to make sure everything fits within the speech bubble.
Now, write the quote and trace the pencil lines of the speech bubble with the black extra superfine Pitt Artist Pen.
Add details to Dr. King’s face with the extra superfine Pitt Artist Pen.
Color in his coat with the black Pitt Artist Pen Big Brush. My pen is well-used and I applied the strokes with the side edge of the tip to get the color variation in the coat.
I hope you enjoyed today’s sketching tutorial with Pitt Artist Pens. Celebrate Dr. King and what he stood for and his name still stands for today.
